Like the neon qualities of the horse a lot, and the way it blends into the dark background is a neat feat of painting light! The rather subtle coloruse in the body actually leads you to his eye, which makes the composition very balanced.

There's so much mystery in those fiery eyes! And the mane... It's like the wind is able to blow through the stiffest of materials... Mysterious... ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!!
| 23 Feb 2006 | Stuart "Blu_Taiger" McDonald | Loading...*First Comment Roar* Spiffy, I like it. It looks all metalic and stuff. So, this is about vampires, eh? Is this s'posed to be a vampire horse, Or a vampires mount or something? Well actually, big black horse with glowing yellow eyes... it looks like it could be a pooka. Well anyway, good work. Rachel Zyden Beaconsfield replies: "It’s actually a symbolic representation of one of the characters from the book, and that’s a sunset caught in its eye (though I apologise for the reduced size and detail that rather obscures it). To fully understand the cover art though, you’d need to read the novel ^_~" | |
