This is probably my favorite pic on Elfwood! The contrast and pure anguish are captured so well, it really makes you feel for the character. You can actually hear a scream of pain when you look at this, and sound is very hard to generate in a drawing, especially one with only two colors. How you accomplished such a revolutionary piece is beyong me...

This is such a dramatic pic X3 The medium looks simple enough, but the detail on Zyden's figure and around the bordering area of white make it really effective. This is one of those occasions when stark black and white really can make an image very good. I think it was a great choice for the subject matter ^^

that's really neat. I like the pose alot! it looks like the old symbol for the orriginal MYST game, the one with the guy falling through worlds.

*blinks* Zyden's hands look monsterous! Look at the curves and how the finger bones are shown. o_o Bigger than normal hands is probably a good idea for this type of picture because it DOES add up to the feeling around it. *flees*

:-) Rachel Zyden Beaconsfield replies: "Thanks XD I’m glad someone noticed those atrocious claws he has for hands. As palms, fingers and nails go, they’re intended to be pretty exaggerated, elongated and menacing."

It's the detail that makes this so painful, you know. Its deceptively simple and extremely emotional. It made me gasp when i saw it.
